Family Child Care (FCC) is an additional option for child care through Fort McCoy Child, Youth, & School Services (CYSS) and reflects more of a Family atmosphere than center based child care. We consider our FCC homes your child's "home away from home". Individualized care for each child and Family is provided and FCC homes specialize in small group settings. In the FCC home, children are included in daily age-appropriate household activities to teach children basic life skills. An FCC home can provide a more flexible schedule for working parents who have unusual work schedules. FCC providers are certified by the Fort McCoy Child, Youth & School Services program and are located in government controlled housing units. Fort McCoy FCC Homes can be located in the South Post housing area and in Tomah's Woodridge Family housing. As our program grows, we hope to expand the program to include Homes Off Post or "HOPS" homes that are certified through the state or county and are located in the surrounding communities. All Providers are private contractors who establish their own fees and operating hours.
Quality care is provided in an enriched learning environment for children 4 weeks through 12 years old. Care maybe provided for full time, part time, hourly and some extended hours care.
