Fort McCoy Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS) programs support the Army Family Covenant by reducing the conflict between a Soldier's mission requirements and his or her parental responsibilities. Child Development Center (CDC)
(Ages 6 weeks - 5 years/Pre-K) Our on-post Child Development Center offers full-day, hourly and Pre-K programs for children in a rich and stimulating environment.
School Age Center (SAC)
(Kindergarten - 5th grade) Provides an after school program, summer camp, and care during school vacations. Programs offer a wide range of physical activities, arts & crafts, homework assistance, character building, 4H and Boys and Girls Club, field trips, and more.
Middle School & Teen Youth Center
(6th -12th grade) Provides after-school, non-school day activities, summer camp and weekend events. The Youth Program is designed specifically to foster development, life skills, citizenship and leadership, companionship and teamwork, recreation and arts. Programs include mentoring, 4-H, Boys and Girls Club, field trips and homework assistance.

School Support Services
(All Ages) School Support programs provide a variety of programmatic strategies and resources that the Army has undertaken to be the driving force for student success for transitioning military students.
Parent Central Services
(All Ages) For your child to participate in any CYSS program or activity on Fort McCoy, he/she must be registered through Parent Central Services, located in Building 1668, or start registration online. For more registration information click in this box.
Family Child Care (FCC)
(Ages 4 weeks - 10 years) Family Child Care Homes are available on post from trained childcare providers that work as independent contractors for CYSS.  FCC Homes provide full-day, part-day and hourly care for children in a home environment.
SKIESUnlimited
(Ages 6 weeks - 18 years/high school seniors)  SKIESUnlimited, Schools of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration and Skills, offers a wide range of classes designed to complement, expand and support the academic, life skills, and athletic experiences children and youth have within Army CYSS programs.  Provided by CYSS employees and contract instructors in a variety of settings which may include Child Development Center, School Age Programs, and other Family and MWR facilities.

Accreditation/Certification

DoD Certification and National Accreditation are required by the Military Child Care Act to attain and ensure CYSS program quality.

Certification: DoD Certification, the equivalent of state licensing, is based on an Army internal evaluation process to ensure Army CYSS Child Development Centers, Family Child Care Homes and School-Age Programs meet required DoD quality standards. All caregivers must meet rigid training, health and safety standards, and are subject to unannounced inspections.

Accreditation: Child Development Centers and School-Age Programs are eligible for National Accreditation through an external evaluation process that surpass expectations and provide high quality care for children.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children is the accrediting body for Army CYSS Child Development Centers.

The National AfterSchool Association is the accrediting body for Army CYSS School Age programs.
