The Total Army Sponsorship Program applies to Soldiers and civilian employees whose assignment within the Department of the Army requires a permanent change of station move. 

Individuals may request a sponsor by completing a DA Form 5434.  With sponsorship, one is entitled to a welcome letter, an individual sponsor, Army Community Service (ACS) relocation services such as welcome packets and SITES booklets, assistance with in/out processing, and orientation to the new unit or activity and the community.

The success of the sponsorship program depends on commanders and the individual sponsors they appoint.  The commander should ensure that a trained pool of sponsors exists to respond to new arrivals and that they are in compliance with AR 600-8-8.

Units may receive sponsorship training by completing and submitting the training request form in the ACS Schoolhouse.
